The coir-filled pots create the ideal growing environment, allowing a much wider range of plants to thrive compared to standard NFT (Nutrient Film Technology) systems.

In Vegie Bench, roots stay moist and nourished 24/7—not just when the pump is running.
This eliminates most of the risk associated with traditional NFT systems and makes solar operation possible, with no ongoing electricity costs.

Standard NFT often requires pumps to run 8–10 hours per day, but Vegie Bench’s water-retaining coir and channel design reduce pump use dramatically while keeping plants perfectly hydrated.

Smart, Cost-Saving Water Storage

To save money on freight and increase nutrient capacity, we recommend purchasing a 75-litre plastic rubbish bin (or similar) from your local hardware store for use as the system’s main reservoir.
