What do you recommend for slug problems?

Sprinkle slug and snail pellets available at hardware stores or nurseries. They work well and are safe for your plants.

What do you recommend for bugs and pests?

Use Pyrethrin, a natural insecticide made from Chrysanthemum flowers. Apply sparingly and only to affected plants.

Do I need to apply fungicide to my strawberry tower?

We generally haven’t needed fungicide for strawberries or vegetables. If you have issues, Eco Fungicide from any nursery can be used every few weeks.

Where is the product made?

Our Vertical Garden Planters are made in rural Victoria from high quality, BPA-free polypropylene plastic. Other products are sourced in Australia where possible, with some imported.

Why are my lettuce seedlings turning yellow?

Reduce nutrient strength for seedlings. Use half the recommended nutrient dose or target an EC of 1.0 to 2.0 during early growth.

Should I add an air pump to the reservoir?

If water is still for more than 60% of the time, add an air pump. Oxygen-rich water helps plant roots stay healthy.

What can I grow in the Verandah Planters?

You can grow herbs, lettuce, strawberries, greens, tomatoes, cucumbers, zucchini, potatoes, carrots, beetroot and more. Almost anything grows well with enough sun.
