We researched this system before making this purchase because it is a significant investment, so we didn't want to make an error. It was not an incidental purchase! Our main reasons for buying the Vertigrow Eco Farm system were to extend the capabilities of our space, thus making room for more plants, and to provide optimal growing conditions for them. We also wanted to try hydroponics because it is interesting.

Roger is an exceptional man. His patience, wisdom, and clarity are matched by his generosity of spirit and kindness. He interacted with us via various communication channels, not only during business hours, but outside of business hours as well. The information he supplied is exemplary, his hints, tips and tricks for growing better plants are invaluable. He continually goes out of his way to make the Vertigrow system better, even to the extent of making unique adjustments to the systems we purchased so that they would be better suited to our requirements. He did extra work, included modified parts, and arranged for us to pick up one-off parts from Reece Plumbing near us. Oh my goodness, this man is the epitome of awesome customer service.

When unpacking the Eco Farm system, I found the array of parts a bit overwhelming; however, as I read through the detailed instructions, clarity formed, and the first system came together in a little under twenty minutes. The second system took about half as long.

Did you get that? Up and running in just under an hour!

The longest part of putting the system together was waiting for the coir to hydrate. The large block of coir truly expands to over 75 litres. I tried to rehydrate the first one in a large plastic tub. Not really a great idea. The wheelbarrow was a much better option. We put two systems together at the same time, so the second block of coir had to wait till the first block was used... I love working with the coir - cleaning up your hands is only a water spray away!

The first two systems are dedicated to a range of strawberries. The little strawberry plants love their new home and are no longer afraid of me standing on them. The systems run as they should, although it should be said that the solar panels don't like dappled light - they need to be in a place where they get direct sunshine. The pumps are so silent that you can't hear them till you are standing adjacent to the planter.

If you are researching this product, don't wait any longer. Committing to this system is a decision you will not regret. The system works, the build quality is excellent, Roger's customer service is unbelievably great (like doing business used to be in the 'good old days'), and the after-purchase care is wonderful. Your plants will bless you, you'll achieve higher yields per square foot, and you will accomplish something that you've wanted to do for a long time.

I am a busy landscape designer based on the Gold Coast and have just moved from a garden on land filled with medicine/ edible plants to an apartment on the beach with the same desire to pick my food from a balcony.

We have another home Melbourne which we spend at least 4 weeks every 6 weeks in, so the Gold Coast apartment and plants needs to be self sufficient for up to 4 weeks.

We planted up the pods a week ago and assembled the Eco planter with solar battery on the balcony yesterday it’s functioning perfectly.

The planter is perfect for my requirements 😊

I unsuccessfully tried herb gardens multiple times over the years, so was looking for something low maintenance and that I couldn't mess up. The Eco Farm does exactly that. Simple to follow instructions to setup. Herbs, tomatoes and chillis are going strong and I only have to worry about it every few weeks.
When a small piece broke, I contacted the company and received not one, but four replacements in the mail within days. Great service!

Bought a solar Smart farm and so far extremely happy with it I check the Water tank and top up every 2 weeks roughly and enjoying the fruit and will be putting a net over it and will experiment with different Herbs ,also very easy to set up
